Coral Mustang and the Tempranillo Tango

Spanish grape varieties seem to taking hold in California.

Surfing the web, I found Tempranillo Tango a blog by Penelope Gadd-Coster, who is co-owner of Coral Mustang Winery, which only uses Tempranillo. Reading further I found that Coral Mustang is part of TAPAS (Tempranillo Advocats Producers and Amigo Society) which has some 22 wineries as members.

I wonder if any of these wineries are going to the international Tempranillo competition to be held in Shanghai this June? At last year's evet in Germany, Alan Kinne of Martin & Weyrich of California took home 2 gold medals.

Thank you for the mention!
I am looking into the competition- it is pricey. I will be sending out an email to the TAPAS group to see who is submitting wines and will pass it along to your blog.

I will put a link to your blog on my website and from my blog, if it is okay with you.

Cheers to Tempranillo!
