ICEX not big on wine blogs
Having frequently directed readers of my blog to the ICEX site (Instituto Español de Comercio Exterior, or the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade) on wines: WinesfromSpain.com, I thought that perhaps they wouldn't mind including Tempranillo in their list of wine related links. So, I sent them an e-mail.
Very soon after sending my e-mail, I had a phone call from a person from the Information Dept. of ICEX who called me to say very politely that no, sorry, they would not be adding my blog to the links section. The reason: blogs are not worthy of such consideration. So, instead of taking a spot next to prestigious wine writers, a handful of online wine shops and a site called Australian Wines of Distinction (???), I'll just have to wait until ICEX changes their mind about blogs.

Some people still don't understand blogs.
I had them tell mee that "once my site had more to do with wine they would consider me" My site is ONLY about wine and a good chunk of it only on Spanish wines! Not sure what more they want. So they I pointed out that the lastest news letter at the time on their site was from 2 years ago! I feel your pain!
