Still no conclusion on vine sabotage
In a post back in May, I wrote about an attack of sabotage at a new Priorat vineyard at Ferrer-Bobet winery.
Last Monday, Joan Carles, a fellow member of the Verema wine forum commented on a follow-up report in the El Diari de Tarragona newspaper. According to Joan Carles, the article stated that the DOQ Priorat has still not been able to come with an explanation for what caused the death of 8,000 young vines on the Ferret-Bobet winery.
He further recommended a visit to the winery's web site: http://www.ferrerbobet.com.
While the site lacks any sort of text, the photo display on the site documents the steep hillsides on which the vineyard was planted. It makes it very hard to believe how anyone, presumably acting undercover of darkness, could have poisoned the so many vines and not broken their neck falling down the hill.
